Crowcuss

Unearthed Archival Recordings to Be Released in 2026

Crowcuss has recently discovered a collection of unreleased recordings featuring the band’s original lineup—Greg Leskiw (guitar/vocals), Bill Wallace (bass/vocals), Marc LaFrance (drums/vocals), Hermann Fruhm (keyboards), and Larry Pink (keyboards). These tracks capture the raw energy and creative spark of the group’s early days, blending prairie rock grit with jazz fusion flair.

Teaming up with Delinquent Records (distributed through Royalty Gnomes), the band will release these archival songs throughout 2026. The first single, “Big Man in the Country,” along with its lyric video, will debut in February 2026. All tracks will be available on major streaming and download platforms, including YouTube Music, Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon Music, and the iTunes Store.

Band Biography

Born in the vibrant Winnipeg scene of 1976 from the ashes of Mood Jga Jga, (disbanded earlier that year), the founding members Greg Leskiw and Hermann Fruhm recruited Marc LaFrance and Larry Pink from Musical Odyssey, along with Bill Wallace from The Guess Who. The band made its live debut on May 3, 1976, at Winnipeg’s Norlander Hotel. Greg Leskiw departed after six months to chase new horizons, with guitarist Bob Deutscher eventually stepping in to replace him.
