The multi-talented Vancouver-based MC XYL (pronounced ‘Exile’) is a Hip-Hop artist with a unique style that fuses Westcoast Hip-Hop with Dance Pop, a formula that ignites the dance floor and creates an infectious party atmosphere. Lyrically transforming from frivolous entertainment to heartfelt philosophy, XYL possesses a truly innovative flow that changes tempo and mood to suit the feeling of his tracks, which are entirely self-produced.
XYL’s new EP, ‘Make Way’, heralds a bold sound with massive, danceable beats and radio-quality production while still maintaining an elevated level of musicianship. His smooth-as-velvet flow and spine-shaking beats prove that Canada has something big to offer to the Hip-Hop world. XYL has also become active as a show promoter in Vancouver, collaborating with SPM Music. Each month he organizes and performs at 'Wordz From Tha Underground', one of the most popular live Hip-Hop events in the city. “XYL’s work ethic, both in regards to the business and creative aspects of music, is why we enlisted him into the SPM roster.” says Sean McKay, owner of SPM Music.
Having begun his music career in 2006, XYL has steadily built a strong local following and established himself as one of the more prominent Vancouver performers. With a large fanbase consisting almost entirely of students from Japan, China and Korea, XYL has taken the most obvious route to international success and has made great promotional efforts in those countries as well as in the local Asian community. This has lead to a number of achievements, including a cover story in ‘Pharos Media’, a local Chinese-language magazine, a performance at the annual Anime Evolution convention alongside famous Japanese group Back-On, attaining management in China and securing a sponsorship deal with Chinese clothing company ‘ROSH’. XYL has also opened shows for Canadian Hip-Hop heavyweights Moka Only and Josh Martinez. He plans to relocate to China in 2008 to further his music career there.
Having just released his first Chinese single,Against All Odds’, XYL has a new album in the works catering to the massive Asian Dance Pop audience. With momentum with a growing fanbase in China and a sound style to sway the masses, XYL is putting Canadian Hip-Hop on the world map and reaching for the top of the industry. This MC will never back down until the world has heard his voice.

Jordan got her first taste of entertaining when she appeared,
at age 7, at a concert for the Autism Society of British Columbia,
featuring her father's band Fabulous George and the Zodiacs. By age
10, she had recorded 3 songs on the Abaca Youth Records release, "Let
the Kids Sing Vol. II." In 1999, Marc LaFrance of Delinquent
Records heard her and put her together with several different producers
which include Dave Pickell, Mick Dalla-Vee and Chuck Brickley who
have each written and produced several songs for Emily. Her first
single "Since Tomorrow" has
received national airplay in Canada on stations such as Z95.3 in Vancouver
and Energy FM in Toronto.
Recently signed to Spark Records, Emily has just completed her first
full length record with producers Chin and Troy Samson (Popstars).
The album was mixed by Shawn Pierce. This Pop/R&B album is full
of well-crafted songs and is sure to make a splash on the charts in
